November 6th Baking Class: Classic Pies with Flaky Crust

  • Learn to make pies with Chef Maggie! In this hands-on class you’ll learn to make a delicious Apple Pie with Streusel Topping and the secrets of flaky pie dough-how to make it, the best way to roll it out and bake it. You will go home with recipes, an unbaked pie crust and a 6” pie.

  • Chef Maggie is the owner of Magpie Sweets and Eats, and former Resident Chef at Sur La Table where she taught cooking classes for 4 years. 

  • Please come ready to get your hands dirty, we strongly encourage wearing comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting flour on or you are welcome to bring your own apron. Chef Maggie is ready to answer all your questions and you are welcome to take notes during class.

  • All classes are held at Forty Three Bakery 733 West Genesee Avenue

  • All attendees must be 18 years or older

  • Cancellations are only accepted more than 48 hours before the class
